About the Still

The Still was created in 2000 by Douglas Ferguson in order to provide a comfortable and inspiring environment for artists to create great music without sonic comprises. We are located in SW Austin just past Oak Hill off 290. It is a relaxing environment in the country.

We use both analog and digital equipment to achieve the highest quality in your recording. Many clients use analog for their initial tracking then bounce to the computer for overdubs, editing and mixing. We provide rental reels to help clients who can't afford the cost of tape.

Even though we have great sounding plugins, we mix through our analog console. This provides use with more depth and character. Thus getting the benefits of digital and the sound of analog. Automation from the DAW.

We are proud to have some of the most talented engineers in Austin. Not only will you be thrilled with the results of your recording but you'll have a great time in the process.
