The Still: Home

The still is a recording studio located in Austin, TX which is owned and operated by Douglas Ferguson. The studio has been creating quite a reputation for its superb sonics and fidelity.

Randall Squires joined Douglas in the Summer of 2005 and has since been a great asset to to Still.

Check out the clients page, to the right, to hear some fine music that has been recorded at the still.

You will find even more material by some of these artists at the distillery records site. Distillery records is a small label that was started in order to release recordings done here at the still.

NEWS

8/6/06: F4Fake is back in the studio beginning their most ambitious project yet. This album will be a concept album about the polyponesian war. Jonathon Horne will be recording is debut album in September as well a a new Austin band by the name of "The Roller". It's looking like a really fun Fall. Stay tuned!

7/8/06: Grimy Styles is hard at it in the studio, we hope to see their record done by the end of the summer.

6/6/06: The asylum street spankers record is complete and they are headed to Japan. Look for it in a store near you!

5/10/06: The Norwegians have returned home with an amazing album. Check out the clients section for some samples. (more »)
