About the Still

The Still was created in 2000 by Douglas Ferguson in order to provide a comfortable and inspiring environment for artists to create great music without sonic comprises.

We use both analog and digital equipment to achieve the highest quality in your recording. Many clients use analog for their intital tracking then bounce to the computer for overdubs, editing and mixing. We provide rental reels to help clients who can't afford the cost of tape.

Even though we have great sounding plugins, we mix through our analog console. This provides use with more depth and character. Thus getting the benefits of digital and the sound of analog. Automation from the DAW.

We are proud to have some of the most talented engineers in Austin. Not only will you be thrilled with the results of your recording but you'll have a great time in the process. The Still is a creative and fun place to be, we encorage you to come and create in whatever methods that suit you best and our engineers are here to help you realize the best of your capabilities.
